Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII)

Established on January 2020 by the Prime Minister of FDRE, H.E. Abiy Ahmed (PhD), the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) is designed to support young entrepreneurs through capacity building and research excellence and to be a site for development of functional and problem-solving technologies. EAII will work to safeguard Ethiopia’s national interest through the development of AI services, products and solutions based on research. EAII is currently led Engineer Worku Gachena, Director General and Dr. Taye Girma, Deputy Director General.
